Mike Davis, Principal

I am beginning my 27th year in education and my 20th year as an administrator. This will be my 25th year in Gilbert Public Schools.  I have spent 16 years at the Jr. high level and 10 years at the elementary level. I have a passion for teaching and coaching and I love to be a part of the community.

Islands Elementary school is a K-6 Gilbert Public School and we offer the Building Blocks program for students ages 3-4. All of our classrooms lead to the outdoors, so our students and staff get to experience fresh air and views of the lakes in our neighborhood. We have a strong tradition of community and excellence in academics. We are always looking to welcome new students and families to our school.

As principal of Islands Elementary I want to provide a safe environment where students and staff can collaborate to experience personal growth each day. Our staff will become family with our community and together we will all celebrate and recognize the efforts of our diverse Islands community. We are the friendly and high achieving school you have been looking for.

I have a beautiful wife Angela and we have five children Brittany, Gregory, Brooklyn, Callie, and Morgan, one grandchild Carter, two dogs Rudy and Rusty, and a cat Stormy.
